In the lead-up to Westminster’s Election Day on Tuesday, May 13th, Mayor Dr. Mona Becker sat down with us to reflect on her time in office and share her vision for the city’s future.
She emphasized her deep love for Westminster, highlighting how her experience as a councilmember helped prepare her to lead as mayor over the past four years. Dr. Becker’s decision to run for re-election was fueled by strong community support and a desire to see key projects—like the Wakefield Valley Master Plan and the state’s first water reuse facility, Pure Water Westminster—through to completion.
Mayor Becker also shared her passion for community engagement, from shopping on Main Street to attending city events that draw thousands from surrounding areas. With upcoming initiatives like a new downtown event, A Toast to Italy, and continued investment in local infrastructure, Dr. Becker expressed excitement about what lies ahead.
Voters who can’t make it to the polls in person can request an absentee ballot from the City Administration Building or online.
