Richard “John” Leo Adelsberger, 86, of Fairfield, PA, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by family. Born July 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Joseph and Adele Adelsberger. A proud graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College and Morgan State, John devoted over 30 years to teaching history at Atholton High School in Howard County, MD. After retirement, he traveled extensively and pursued hobbies like painting, woodworking, and photography. He loved history, cooking, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved.
