Brenda Joy Hoben, 72, of Elkridge, MD, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born October 6, 1952, in Baltimore to the late Fred and Vivian Rhodes, she was the beloved wife of Edward Joseph Hoben. Brenda worked as a waitress, at Silver Top Awnings, and later as a caregiver and housekeeper. A woman of deep faith, she was also a Godmother and member of the Red Hat Society. Brenda loved dancing, traveling—especially to Ocean City—flowers, and butterflies. She is survived by her husband, son James (Stephanie), three grandsons, and siblings Michael Rhodes and Robin Dumler.
