David Franklin “Frank” Simmons, of Sykesville, MD, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. Born in 1943 in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of Ben and Emmie Lee Simmons and the devoted husband of Linda Simmons for 56 years. A U.S. Navy veteran, Frank graduated from the Naval Academy in 1968 and served 23 years before transitioning to a successful career as a government contractor. He loved traveling with Linda, cheering on Navy football, and researching genealogy. He is survived by his wife, two children, three grandchildren, and three siblings. Frank will be remembered for his dedication and warmth.
