John Ronald Lane, 79, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, surrounded by family. Born June 14, 1946, in Baltimore, he was the devoted husband of Patricia Lane for 50 years. John worked for 35 years at the NSA and, after retirement, volunteered in kitchens at the Carroll County 4H Fair and Farmers Market. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, enjoying their school and sports events and summer pool days. Known for his humor, John is survived by his wife, three children, and six grandchildren, who will fondly remember his warmth and laughter.
