James Thomas Crumbacker passed away on September 11, 2025, at Carroll Hospital, surrounded by family. Born November 30, 1942, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Frances Crumbacker Shaffer and a 1960 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School. James worked for 45 years at Taney Supply Corporation, where he was known for his skill in specialty and millwork. He enjoyed cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, watching NASCAR, woodworking, and relaxing in his recliner. He is survived by his devoted companion Barbara Tackett, stepdaughter Pam Baker, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, and nephews. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
