David Guthrie King Sr., 88, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away at home on September 16, 2025, after battling cancer and Alzheimer’s. Born in Baltimore on September 1, 1937, he was a dedicated educator and school administrator in Baltimore County. He met his wife, Shirley, at Towson State Teacher’s College, and they shared 65 years of marriage. David also served as Camp Director at Frost Valley YMCA, where he fostered his love for youth leadership. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and honorary daughters. Known for his humor and kindness, David leaves behind a legacy of service and love.
