Mary Fangmeyer Lathroum, born October 6, 1926, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at Carroll Lutheran Village, surrounded by family. A lifelong learner and adventurer, she earned a master’s in American History and taught social studies for over 20 years, pioneering Baltimore County’s first archaeology curriculum. After retiring in 1990, she traveled widely and worked as a tour guide. At Carroll Lutheran Village, she embraced painting, community involvement, and friendship. Mary is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, intellectual curiosity, and the love she generously shared with all who knew her.
