James W. Anders, 84, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away on September 25, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Born May 15, 1941, in Freeze, VA, he was the son of the late Joshua and Callie Frances Anders and the beloved husband of Wardella Anders for 65 years. James was a member of the Mt. Airy Isaac Walton Classic Car Club and the Heart of Maryland Tractor Pullers. He loved restoring his ’57 Chevy, hunting, NASCAR, and classic Westerns. He is survived by his wife, son Todd (Tammy), grandchildren TJ and Kimberly (Luis), great-grandchildren, and siblings Roscoe and Gracie.
