Sterling Samuel Stouter, 85, of Emmitsburg, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born December 22, 1939, he was the son of Melvin and Carrie Stouter and the devoted husband of Ellen Stouter for nearly 65 years. He worked as a technician at the Thurmont water treatment plant and was a faithful member of Friends Creek Church of God. A nature lover, Sterling enjoyed camping and cheering for the Orioles. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. He was preceded in death by siblings, in-laws, and other loved ones who cherished him deeply.
