Carolyn Jeanetta York, 89, of Selbyville, DE, formerly of Sykesville, passed away on October 2, 2025, at Coastal Hospice in Salisbury. Born May 11, 1936, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Dellinger and the beloved wife of the late Edgar “Bud” York. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a beautician and bookkeeper for her husband’s business. She enjoyed crocheting, gifting handmade blankets, and playing Bingo with friends. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and son, Jeffrey.
