Stella Gay Reece, 84, of Taneytown, MD, formerly of Westminster, passed away on October 11, 2025. Born April 30, 1941, in Clintonville, WV, she was the daughter of Cecil B. and Anna Mary Hanson. Stella worked as a waitress and for the Carroll County Times, earning the Publisher’s Award and Employee of the Year. After retirement, she worked for Med I Q. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. She is survived by her children Dawn and Joel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son Mark, granddaughter Christine, siblings, and former husband Clyde.
