Dr. Anthony Swetz, Jr., 77, of Baltimore, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. A dedicated psychologist, educator, and storyteller, Tony was known for his sharp mind, deep compassion, and legendary crab soup. He earned his Ph.D. in counseling and spent over four decades serving Maryland’s mental health and correctional systems. Tony also taught at Johns Hopkins and Hood College. Beyond his career, he found joy in cooking, gardening, golf, and grandparenting. He is survived by his wife Eula, three children, two grandchildren, and brother Mark. Tony’s legacy lives on in his family, students, and all those he inspired.
