Owen W. “Hanky” Norris, 86, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at BridgingLife’s Dove House. Born May 6, 1939, in Sykesville, he was the son of the late Earle S. and Mabel Johnson Norris. Hank was the loving husband of Carol D. (Cook) Norris since 1981. He worked over 30 years at Haight Funeral Home and later with Carroll County Public Schools. Known for his dedication, he also served as caretaker of St. Luke’s Cemetery. An avid Baltimore Ravens fan and Corvette enthusiast, Hank is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. He was predeceased by his first wife Alma, daughter Stephanie, and sister Laura.
