Dorothy E. Seiss, 100, of Emmitsburg, MD, passed away on October 26, 2025, at Homewood in Frederick. Born September 16, 1925, in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anne Humerick. A St. Joseph’s High School graduate, Dorothy worked for the FBI and later retired from the Thurmont Town Office after 25 years. A lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, she loved sewing, quilting, and leading Girl Scouts. She cherished family, faith, and community, inspiring all with her kindness and humor. Dorothy is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
