Thanksgiving is a time for community, gratitude, and sharing a meal, and The Shepherd’s Staff is helping Carroll County residents do just that. The organizations holiday tradition for the Westminster community is back to for its 32nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thursday, November 27, from 12 PM to 2 PM.
The free, traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served at St. John Roman Catholic Church’s Portico, offering a warm and welcoming place for individuals and families to celebrate the holiday together. Those who are homebound due to illness or disability may request meal delivery by contacting the Shepherd’s Staff no later than Friday, November 21.
“This dinner is a wonderful opportunity for people to gather, enjoy a home-cooked meal, and share the spirit of Thanksgiving,” said Brenda Meadows, Executive Director of The Shepherd’s Staff. “We’re so thankful for the continued support of our volunteers, donors, and community partners.”
The meal will feature turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, and desserts. RockSalt Grille will donate and prepare the main dishes, while Baugher’s will provide dinner rolls. Desserts will be contributed by community members, and longtime volunteers Kathy and Jerry Reid will once again coordinate event logistics.
Founded in 1991, The Shepherd’s Staff is a Christian nonprofit outreach center based in Westminster that serves individuals and families in need throughout Carroll County.
