Catherine Allean Joines, 87, of Woodbine, MD, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025. Born August 6, 1938, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Joseph and Frances Moore and the beloved wife of the late Aubrey “Ed” Joines for 45 years. Cathy worked for Bruning Paint Company and later the National Geographic Society before retiring to focus on her family. An accomplished bowler with multiple championships, she cherished the friendships and memories the sport brought her. A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, she is survived by her daughter Karen, step-daughter Treva, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband and many loved ones.
