Doris A. Whitaker (née Knapp), 85, of Westminster, Maryland, formerly of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born September 4, 1940, in Warwick, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Roy Knapp and Doris Annie Knapp and the beloved wife of the late Jimmy L. Whitaker. Doris held many roles throughout her life, including Navy Contract Services employee, newspaper carrier, hairstylist, and truck driver. She was an avid motorcyclist and cribbage player, a member of Slocum Grange 26 and Azalea Park United Methodist Church. She loved her family deeply and is survived by her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
