Common Ground Downtown Concert Series: High Horse
The Common Ground Downtown Series presents High Horse, a Boston-based progressive acoustic string band that infuses the energy of alternative rock into a vibrant blend of bluegrass, old-time, and folk music, highlighted by crisp vocals and virtuosic musicianship. Comprised of fiddler Carson McHaney, cellist Karl Henry, guitarist G. Rockwell, and bassist Noah Harrington, the band draws on their diverse musical backgrounds to perform original compositions alongside tunes from a wide range of folk traditions. Based in Boston, High Horse brings together skills honed through studies at the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory. Their debut album, released in 2024, was produced by world-renowned mandolinist Jacob Jolliff and engineered by acclaimed sound expert Dave Sinko. The concert takes place on Saturday, March 21, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for seniors, $28 for adults, and Pay What You Will with a $15 minimum.
