Documentary Film Series: “What the Hell Happened to Blood, Sweat & Tears?”

Audiences will have two opportunities to attend a screening of a documentary chronicling the dramatic rise and fall of the influential band Blood, Sweat and Tears, with showtimes set for 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The film explores the group’s emergence in the late 1960s, their rapid ascent to mainstream success and multiple Grammy Awards, and their sudden decline in 1972, partly attributed to their controversial role as Cold War cultural ambassadors performing American rock and roll behind the Iron Curtain.

A discussion and Q&A on the film’s historical context will follow, led by Dr. Corey Campion, a historian specializing in U.S.–European relations during the Cold War. Tickets range from $8 to $10 and include the talk. The screening is part of a Documentary Film Series running Fridays in January 2026, beginning January 9, with full-series subscriptions available at discounted rates. The event is generously sponsored by Jeannie Bird Baking Company of Westminster.
