Roger S. Hicks, 87, of Eldersburg, passed away on January 9, 2026, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born February 21, 1938, in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late William and Alice (Stevenson) Hicks and the devoted husband of Patricia Ann Hicks, his wife of 68 years. Roger worked for 39 years as an actuary with the Social Security Administration, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and card games with friends. He is survived by his wife, daughter Lyla Lorraine Taylor and her husband Brian Whalley, niece Renee O’Connell, and other nieces and nephews.
