Martha “Marty” Reider, 84, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1941, she devoted much of her life to caring for family, faith, and community. A graduate of Western Maryland College, she worked at NASA Goddard before marrying Robert “Red” Reider in 1964 and spending time overseas in Frankfurt. They later settled in Sykesville, where they adopted two sons and became active at St. Joseph’s Parish. Known for her warm smile and welcoming spirit, Marty is survived by her sons Matthew and Nicholas, their families, many siblings, and an extended family who will miss her dearly.
