Carroll Garden Club: Homebodies and High Flyers

The Carroll Garden Club, in partnership with CCPL’s Finksburg Branch, will provide participants with the opportunity to make the cold days and the long nights of winter a little more bearable for our feathered friends. Learn why some birds, like the homebodies, will stay behing in the cold winter months and why others, like the high flyers, will migrate to a warmer climate. Through stories and group discussion, participants will learn the value of caring for the homebodies and ways they can actually take care of the birds in their natural setting. We will construct hanging feeders that will provide nourishment to the birds during the frigid temperatures and cold wind that sweeps across Maryland during the winter months. Registration is required.
