Anna Mae Hegarty, 87, of Beltsville, MD, passed away January 11, 2026, at Hospice at Northwest Hospital. Born November 20, 1938, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Thelma Labik and the wife of the late James Joseph Hegarty. A devoted caregiver, Anna worked for many years with the University of Maryland Health Care. She found joy in crocheting, reading, and playing Bingo. Anna is survived by her daughters and their families, a sister, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Patrick Hegarty, and her siblings.
