Walter Edward “Pa” Thompson, 85, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at UPMC Hanover Hospital. Born December 8, 1940, in Baltimore County, he was the son of the late James Heaver and Helen Elizabeth (Gehring) Thompson. Walter was the beloved husband of Joyce L. “Tutu” Thompson, sharing 64 years of marriage. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he later worked as a flooring installer with Martin Surfacing and Decking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes, and cheering for the Ravens and Orioles. He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, grandchildren, and extended family.
