Robert John Ryan, 86, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center. Born to the late Joseph Edward Ryan Sr. and Alverta Catherine (Speranzella), he graduated from Polytechnic High School and honorably served in the Air National Guard and U.S. Air Force Reserve, receiving his discharge in 1960. Robert worked more than 20 years at Vansant Dugdale Advertising Agency, later teaching children with special needs before retiring from Verizon. A devoted volunteer, he served many church organizations and cherished his time volunteering at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. He is survived by four siblings and a large extended family.
