Chester Allen Stanton, lovingly known as “Doozie,” passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Born March 5, 1937, he was a lifelong resident of Howard County, Maryland, raised on Waterford Farm in Daisy and a 1955 graduate of Harriet Tubman High School. Chester retired after 30 years with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission at the Brighton Dam facility. A devoted husband, father, and man of faith, he shared 62 years of marriage with his wife, Rosele. A gifted tenor, he founded The Gospel Travelers and shared his love of gospel music throughout the region.
