Daniel A. Wilhide, 93, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away at home on January 23, 2026. Born July 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Donald and Eleanore Wilhide and the devoted husband of Nancy (Bowers) Wilhide. Daniel served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1949 to 1952. He and Nancy eloped in 1957 and shared 68 loving years together. Daniel worked 32 years as a technical illustrator for Martin Marietta, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed westerns, especially Gunsmoke, golf, and time with family. He is survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a special friend.
