Elizabeth Alice Heffner Prise (1946–2026) of Westminster was a devoted nurse, family woman, and lifelong Carroll County resident. A 1964 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, she completed nursing school in Baltimore and spent more than 42 years caring for patients at Carroll Hospital Center before retiring in 2010. She loved family gatherings, needlework, and lighthouse-themed travels with her late husband. A loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles, she fondly recalled watching their 1966 World Series parade from her dorm window. She was active in church life, most recently at Church of the Open Door, and will be remembered for her warmth and dedication.
