Betty Jane Copenhaver passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at Lorien Nursing Home in Taneytown, surrounded by her family. Born August 23, 1932, in Enterprise, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Annie Heffner and the devoted wife of the late Ray Angell Copenhaver for nearly 70 years. Betty worked for 22 years at Butte Knit and later retired from EZ Industries. A dedicated member of Messiah United Methodist Church, she actively served on many committees. Known for her angel food cakes and welcoming table, Betty loved cooking, nature, and feeding birds. She leaves behind four daughters, five granddaughters, ten great-grandchildren, and her sister.
