Lesley Young, 72, of Taneytown, Maryland, passed away on March 13, 2026, at WellSpan Hospital in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Born in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Fred Cochran and Frieda Lipschitz. Lesley was the devoted wife of David Young, whom she married in 1978. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, she served proudly in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant after distinguished service. She later founded the Coalition of Feral Cat Caretakers. Lesley is survived by her husband and sisters. A graveside service will be announced.
