Taneytown History Museum Exhibit

We The People Taneytown 250+ Years 1754-2026 exhibit will open at the Taneytown History Museum, 340 E Baltimore Street, Taneytown, Md. on Sunday, April 12th at 1 p,m. There will be a new scavenger hunt and prizes can be won. Musuem is ADA compliant and has a handicap ramp on side of building to enter the front entrance. This is a family friendly event. There is a gift shop and there is parking in the back. The traveling exhibit on loan from the Carroll County Historical Society will be located in the garage. Taverns served as an inn, dining place, post office and gathering place. Taneytown had many taverns. There is no admission fee. The museum will be open Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm and Saturdays and Sundays 1 to 4 pm until November 15, 2026. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this unique exhibit of the past 250 years.
