Barbara Kay Tackett, 80, of Taneytown, MD, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2026, with her daughter by her side. Born June 30, 1945, in Ironton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Kathryn Tackett. A 1964 Gettysburg High School graduate, Barb dedicated 54 years to manufacturing, working at several factories before retiring from Random House. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, shopping, and listening to live music with close friends. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Baker, grandsons Dylan and Dalton, and cousin Pam Kistler. She was preceded in death by her son Todd and companion James.
