Eleonore Ruth Barritt, 73, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2026. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Olga and Edward Bechtold and the devoted wife of Christopher Barritt for 53 years. A dedicated EMT and Cardiac Rescue Technician, she served her community through multiple local fire departments. Eleonore was also a talented quilter, award-winning for her work, and loved gardening, traveling, and outdoor adventures. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
