McDaniel College will host its second annual Women & Health event later this month, bringing together alumni, students and community members for a program focused on physical and mental well-being.
The event, titled “Spring into Health: Mind, Body, Community,” is scheduled for April 18 at 11 a.m. in Big Baker Chapel as part of the college’s Alumni Weekend festivities. Organizers say attendance is open to the public and not limited to alumni.
The program is organized by the McDaniel Women’s Leadership Network and aims to explore connections between physical health, mental wellness and community support. The event will feature a keynote address from Deborah J. Herchelroath, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist.
Following the keynote, attendees can participate in roundtable discussions led by health care professionals. Topics are expected to include mental health, testosterone therapy for women and supporting loved ones during hospitalization, with additional sessions to be announced.
Organizers said the event is designed to foster conversation and provide resources in a collaborative, in-person setting.
Registration is available online, and attendees can use the promotional code MWLN2026 to waive the registration fee.
The event is part of a broader slate of Alumni Weekend activities taking place on campus.
