Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Fisher Mathias, 104, passed away peacefully March 31, 2026, at her home. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the devoted wife of the late F. Kale Mathias and a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church. A graduate of St. John High School, Betty worked for the U.S. Navy before dedicating herself to family and later joining the family memorial business. She was deeply involved in community service, including decades with the Junior Woman’s Club and Carroll Hospital Auxiliary. Betty is remembered for her warmth, service, and devotion to family, leaving behind children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
