Carroll County Workforce Development will host two job fairs later this month, including an in-person hiring event and a statewide virtual job fair aimed at connecting employers with job seekers across Maryland.
The in-person job fair is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carroll County Workforce Development Resource Center. Organizers said the event is free and does not require registration.
A second event, the Maryland Regional Job Fair, will take place virtually on Thursday, May 28, through the Premier Virtual platform. Registration is open for both employers and job seekers.
According to Workforce Development officials, the events follow a May 5 virtual job fair that drew 107 registered attendees, 17 businesses and nearly 700 job vacancies.
The virtual platform is designed to replicate elements of an in-person hiring event, allowing employers to host interactive hiring rooms, communicate with candidates in real time and customize virtual booths with job listings and multimedia content. Job seekers can browse openings, upload resumes and continue networking after the live event concludes.
Officials said the Maryland Regional Job Fair is open to participants from industries including healthcare, manufacturing, information technology, education and public service.
Carroll County Workforce Development said participants are encouraged to register early to maximize visibility and engagement before the event.
Carroll County Department of Economic Development said Workforce Development programming is supported through federal, state and local funding sources. Officials reported federal funding for Program Year 2025 totaled approximately $1.55 million, accounting for about 52.6% of available funds.
