John Robert McCurry, 80, of Myrtle Beach, SC, died May 20, 2026, at Wexford House in Denver, NC. Born March 12, 1946, in Cameron County, Texas, he worked over 25 years as a computer technician and served in the U.S. Army from 1969–1971. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Anne McCurry, son Andrew McCurry, and brothers Rick and Bill McCurry. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Benson and husband Ross, daughter-in-law Renee McCurry, brothers Tom and Denny McCurry, and grandchildren Rawley, Maggie, Macey, and Jack. He enjoyed beach life, fishing, travel, and time with family together.
