Brian Young Happel, 75, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by his family and entered into the presence of the Lord. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Frank Alexander Happel and Margaret (Young) Bailey. Brian met his wife, Susan “Sue” Happel, in 1968 and they were married on May 6, 1972, recently celebrating 54 years of marriage. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of faith, Brian centered his life on his relationship with Christ and active service in his church community. He held various professional roles throughout his career, including work in banking, broadcasting, and field engineering. He was also deeply involved in ministry, music, and community activities, and cherished time spent with family through travel, camping, boating, and shared traditions. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family.
