Mary Jane Brett, 92, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was one of 11 children born to the late Lawrence and Aurelia (Bach) Schuster. Mary Jane enjoyed European travel, quilting, bowling, swimming, painting, baking, and singing. She was deeply involved in her community, serving with the American Legion and VFW auxiliaries and in numerous roles at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. She was honored with the Archdiocesan “Medal of Honor” for her dedication and service. Mary Jane is survived by three daughters, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friend Father Kurt Klismet.
