Darlene Harriett Jessen, 82, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 20, 2026. Born November 12, 1943, in Daniels, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Geneva Hollman. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, and siblings Jack, George, and Francis. She loved traveling, spending time with family and lifelong friends, and building lasting friendships through her active membership at Faith Lutheran Church. Darlene is survived by her children, Robyn Duafala and husband Ed and Robert Jessen; five grandchildren; great-grandson Bentlley; and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her love of family, friendships, and faith.
