Geraldine “Rodetta” Dorsey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 20, 2026. A lifelong resident of the community, she was educated at Robert Moton School in Westminster and worked for more than 30 years at National Geographic before retiring. Rodetta was a dedicated member of Eastern Star for more than 30 years. She loved traveling to visit family, especially her siblings, and enjoyed trips to various states and destinations. She also found great joy in playing “Hand & Foot” and “Trouble” with her sisters. Rodetta is survived by her two sons, brother, 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, godchildren, extended family, and friends.
