What’s a key lesson you’ve learned as a woman in leadership that you think other aspiring leaders should hear?
As a woman in leadership, your perspective and influence carry real value. Trust your instincts and speak up — it’s one of the most effective ways to strengthen your leadership and ensure your voice is included in conversations and decision-making. Women in leadership often lift one another up, so invest in building strong relationships and connections with other women in your workplace and community.
What can businesses do to support women better as they move into leadership roles?
Businesses can support women by actively opening doors and removing barriers —bringing them into strategic conversations, championing their ideas, and offering meaningful stretch opportunities that build confidence and credibility. Leaders also play a crucial role as intentional mentors and sponsors, providing honest feedback and advocating for women when they’re not in the room. When organizations take these deliberate, personal actions, women feel seen, supported, and empowered to step into leadership with confidence and strength.
