Celebrating the Women Behind Myers-Durboraw Funeral Homes
When the movement of deceased persons from town to town became necessary 161 years ago during the U.S. Civil War, the undertaker was usually the local blacksmith or cabinet maker. In 2026, the local undertaker is now led by a growing movement of ladies who have answered the call to serve those who can no longer serve themselves. These special ladies lead the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Homes on a daily basis, ensuring our families not only have the best service in Maryland but also feel as if they are part of our family.
Our exceptional group of Women in Service are a versatile team of ladies who provide positive female leadership and role models in our local community. They are seen both in the forefront of the day-to-day operations of the funeral homes as well as behind the scenes ensuring our family is able to meet all the client families needs during their most difficult time.
Women are the future of funeral service, and Myers-Durboraw will be here to embrace this growing tradition.
