As the sun sets on Saturday, May 17, 2025, the rolling greens of Piney Branch Golf Course in Upperco, Maryland, will transform into a shimmering celebration of patriotism and purpose. From 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the Carroll County Veterans Independence Project (CCVIP) will host its highly anticipated “We’ve Got Your Six” Gala—an evening that promises dinner, dancing, and a deep commitment to supporting those who’ve served.
More than just a fundraiser, the Gala is a heartfelt tribute to the spirit behind the phrase “We got your six,” a military term for “I’ve got your back.” This sentiment echoes throughout CCVIP’s mission: to stand by veterans and their families as they navigate the often-overwhelming maze of federal systems and access the essential resources they need.
Decked out in patriotic Red, White, and Blue, the event invites attendees to enjoy an unforgettable night of elegance and entertainment. Guests will dine and dance to the energetic live music of the Frankie North Band, turning the evening into the ultimate date night—with a cause.
But beneath the sparkle and song lies a deeper mission. The Gala raises vital funds to keep CCVIP’s services going strong—from helping veterans find stable housing to connecting them with physical and mental health support, career planning, and benefits advocacy. Every ticket purchased and every item auctioned plays a role in changing lives.
“We Got Your Six” is also a call to action. CCVIP is inviting individuals, local businesses, and organizations to step up and get involved through sponsorships, donations, or by contributing items for the evening’s auction. Sponsorship levels like Top Gun, Delta Force, and Seal Team Six offer a variety of perks, from recognition in promotional materials to exclusive event benefits. It’s a powerful way for community partners to show their support and be publicly recognized for standing behind our veterans.
Founded in 2017, CCVIP has become a cornerstone for veterans in Carroll County and beyond, offering a safe, welcoming place to find the resources and guidance they need to rebuild and thrive. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CCVIP provides advocacy and hands-on support to veterans and their families, ensuring no one is left behind after their service.

On May 17th, Piney Branch will echo not just with music, but with gratitude—because at CCVIP, “We Got Your Six.”
