Alberta “Jean” Sonnemann, 86, of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2026. Born in Crellin, West Virginia, she was raised on a family farm where she developed a lifelong commitment to hard work and family. Jean worked for many years as a caterer and found joy in simple pleasures like quilting, cooking, puzzles, and playing Bingo. She was known for her kindness, patience, and love of community. Jean is survived by her children, siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
