Ann Teresa (Hobbs) Welty, 90, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026. Born in Emmitsburg, she shared a lifelong devotion to faith, family, and hard work. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Welty and a devoted mother to David, Catherine, and Kevin. She cherished her role as grandmother and great-grandmother and remained close with her many siblings and extended family. Ann spent her life caring for others, whether through her work at St. Joseph’s Provincial House or in her home. Known for her kindness, deep Catholic faith, and gentle spirit, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to family and friends.
