Barbara Sue Conaway, 68, of Mount Airy, passed away January 7, 2026. Born December 29, 1957, she was the daughter of John Lawrence and Dorothy Alverta Dietz. A woman of strong faith, Barb loved Jesus and faithfully served through Sunday School and church ministries. She enjoyed family time, hiking, quilting, genealogy, travel, reading, cooking, and card games. She was active in Young Life Alumni, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Barb worked in many roles throughout her life and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.
