Beatrice E. “Bea” Umbel, 92, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, passed away on February 21, 2026. Born July 22, 1933, to the late Helen (Eyler) and Wilbur T. Umbel, Bea lived a life centered on family, friendship, and simple joys. She enjoyed her time working at The Palms Restaurant and loved playing Keno at the Ott House. Many cherished memories were made around Yahtzee and card games with loved ones. Above all, Bea adored her family, especially her great-grandsons. She is survived by her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandsons, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several beloved siblings.
