A devoted Christian, she was raised in a ministry-centered family and was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church for 31 years. Betty built a 45-year nursing career at Baltimore City/Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital, touching countless lives. A dedicated community activist, she was active in the NAACP, Black Nurses Association, AARP, and Eastern Star. She loved gospel music, family gatherings, and sharing generosity shaped by her upbringing. Betty is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, and many cherished relatives and friends.
